"Follow me as I follow Christ" is taken from the New Testament and is attributed to St. Paul. It means that we should imitate Christ by following the example of those who are already following Him.
Catholic education seeks to form the whole person, not just academically, but also spiritually, morally, and socially. The goal is to help students grow in their relationship with God and become the person they were created to be. One of the ways this is accomplished is by providing students with positive examples to follow. Teachers and staff strive to embody the values of the Gospel and model Christian behavior.
When students see their teachers and other adults living out their faith in practical ways, it inspires them to do the same. They see that it is possible to live a life of faith in the midst of daily challenges and difficulties. By following these examples, students can deepen their own relationship with Christ and become more fully alive. "Follow me as I follow Christ" is a call to discipleship and an invitation to imitate the example of those who are already walking the path of faith.
