Thank you for your interest in Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Austin. With 20 Catholic schools in Central Texas, we are excited to welcome you and your family to ours! The admission process is different at every school, so we encourage you to visit their website to learn more about their school community - links are below.
Over 36% of our school families utilize some form of assistance to make Catholic school education more affordable.
There are many tuition-assistance programs offered through both the Diocese and each individual Catholic school. The first and easiest step is to make an appointment with either the school principal or admissions director to discuss your situation and options that work for your family.
Financial Aid & Affordability
Local Partnerships
Through the creation of individual endowments, the Catholic Foundation provides a means to generate income, which for Catholic schools in the Diocese of Austin, this income turns into tuition assistance schools can award to students. On average, every year the Foundation gives $115,000. There are no additional steps for new or returning families to apply for Catholic Foundation funds, as these are used when families receive tuition assistance from the schools.
Every January, the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools hosts a fundraising gala, Saints & Scholars - Celebrating Catholic Schools, to support Catholic School accessibility through financial aid. On average, every year the event raises $120,000. These funds are in addition to those received throughout the year from generous donors, benefactors, and friends. There are no additional steps for new or returning families to apply for Diocese of Austin funds, as these are used when families receive tuition assistance from the schools.
In partnership with the Catholic Services Appeal, the Office of Catholic Schools launched a scholarship contest for current students. Every year, the contest theme changes, yet students can participate to win $1,000 tuition scholarship for elementary and middle school students, and $2,000 tuition scholarship for high school students.
