Disaster Relief Efforts

We are responding as a compassionate community to those displaced by both Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.  As we come together in prayer, the Office of Catholic Schools has already opened their doors to several families in need.  Our Catholic schools have currently accepted displaced students in West, Temple, Buda, Bryan, and Austin with many more seats being kept warm for evacuated and relocated families to Central Texas.  State-wide, Catholic school superintendent’s in coordination with the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops have established a partnership with affected Catholic schools in Texas.  This “Adopt a School” program will partner “able” Catholic Schools with those in need of rebuilding, remodeling, and relocating to provide long-term support, financial resources, and supplies.  It is our hope that struggling families may experience the outpouring of support from the Diocese of Austin in this time of heartache and trauma.
