Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Austin | At a Glance
The Office of Catholic Schools,
in service to principals and school communities, assists Catholic schools in the formation of its members in their spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and social lives. The schools, in turn, provide opportunities for students, families, faculty, staff and board members to grow in a commitment to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. The office also coordinates accreditation, curriculum, testing, training, and policy development for the approximately 600 teachers serving in the schools, supporting enrollment, event efforts, and resource development.
Our Schools are Accredited
All of the diocesan schools follow an accreditation process prescribed by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops - Education Department:
Our schools are approved by the Texas Education Agency
Our school are accredited by AdvanceED
Our schools are directed by the diocesan superintendent
*Several Catholic schools are dual accredited with the Southern Association of Colleges and School (SACS) and Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS).
Our Catholic schools form a faith community that invites its members to pray and to worship. They are also places of evangelization where the Gospel message is proclaimed. Additionally, our schools provide opportunities for members to transform the world through justice and service.
