St. Louis Catholic School located in the heart of Austin since 1956 and always in the heart of Christ is quickly becoming the Catholic destination school in central Texas. The spiritual development of students is sound with strong leadership by our staff and highly visible and involved priest. St. Louis students attend weekly Mass as well as weekly devotionals lead by our priest. Our pastor, James Misko is deeply committed to providing the best possible spiritual and learning environment for our students. Students consistently score above the national average on the ARCE (an assessment that measures the faith knowledge and formation of our students).
Our student’s score in the right quadrant (high achievement/high progress) in achievement test (ITBS), and as such St. Louis students are highly competitive with other students in the dioceses. To meet the needs of all our students, we offer an array of enriching activities in our unique “Beyond the Bell” program. Students also participate in the Private School Interscholastic Association (PSIA), regional science fairs, National Geography Bee, Art Central (partnership with the Blanton), sports, choir and band and various academic contest. Our highest achieving students participate in TIP (Duke Talent Search), National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM, National Junior Honor Society. Additionally, students at St. Louis Catholic School have the core curriculum enhanced by a 1:1 technology device program in grades 3-8th.
In 2017, St. Louis Catholic School will add a Catholic Montessori track for early childhood students. This program will be the first of its kind in the Dioceses of Austin and will allow parents a choice of traditional early childhood or Montessori methods.
St. Louis Catholic School is a nationally accredited by Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED) and accredited by AdvancED.
